Moving forward and enrollment information

As the weather hints at the arrival of spring, I am waiting with anticipation for the growth and beauty of that season. We know there needs to be preparation and care during the winter to see the best of the spring and summer seasons.

As TPCS is planning for our future, we are developing a strategic plan. Last July, the Board of Directors identified five vision lanes we will use to anchor our strategic plan. Those vision lanes are; Cultural Intelligence, Spiritual Formation, Student and Staff Retention, Strengthening Academics, and Expanding Athletic and Fine Arts Programming. Committees were established in the fall, and they have been working to develop strategies for each vision lane. The committees are made up of administrators, faculty, parents, and, where appropriate, students and alums. The strategic planning committees will have their recommendations for the board by the end of April. I am excited about the progress and direction of these teams.

As we look forward to the enrollment for next year, we are excited to be ahead of the last several year’s indicators for new student applications. We currently have 132 new applicants compared to 111 at the same time the previous year.

We are going to adjust our continuous enrollment cutoff date. That date is currently set for March 10. We will be moving that date back to March 31. That means that if a current family is not planning to return, they will need to let us know by March 31 to get their deposit back.
I ask you to join me as we pray for the direction, watchcare, and leading of the Lord!

Proverbs 16:9 says, “In their hearts
humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.”
