Join us in raising up a generation of students who make an impact in the world for Christ.
A junior high that helps students build a future of success for the Kingdom through community and academic excellence.
Our junior high program, housed in our Upper School building, is designed to support students as they navigate new challenges, discover their passions, and deepen their faith. We are committed to providing a Christ-centered environment that fosters meaningful relationships, educational excellence, and personal growth.
Our dedicated educators partner with families to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and character needed to impact the world for Christ. Here, students are known, loved, and inspired to reach their God-given potential.
Why Choose Our Junior High?
Advanced Courses
For 7th and 8th graders, we offer accelerated classes in ELA and Math, reducing class sizes for core subjects and providing tailored challenges for advanced learners.
Get a Head Start on High School
Students in 8th grade who qualify can start to meet some of their high school requirements by taking Spanish I or Algebra I. Starting with the class of 2030, some of the new required high school classes may be offered too!
Faculty Credentials
Our teachers are highly qualified professionals who bring expertise, passion, and a commitment to Christian education. They create engaging learning environments that inspire curiosity and excellence.
Counseling Services
As we live out our mission of having a Jesus-centered education, we have support services for students who need help navigating stress, anxiety, and peer relationships. Our full-time social worker is able to meet with students, offering guidance through challenges by using Scripture as a foundational resource.
Leadership Opportunities
We encourage students to develop leadership skills through participation in organizations such as the Junior High Student Council, Student Admissions Ambassadors, and student-led clubs. These programs empower students to make a positive impact in their school and community.
American Heritage Tour
The annual 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C., is a cherished TPCS tradition that allows students to explore our nation’s history as part of their Social Studies curriculum. This experience helps students create lasting memories while deepening their appreciation of American heritage through a biblical lens.
Advisory Times
Our Advisory Program provides dedicated time for students to connect with faculty mentors and receive personalized support. During these sessions, students can seek extra help with their schoolwork, complete assignments, collaborate with peers, make up missed work, and meet with teachers or guidance staff to address any needs outside of regular class hours. This program ensures that students have the resources and support necessary to thrive academically and personally.
Support Services
TPCS employs a 504 specialist to help students with accommodations in their learning. TPCS partners with the Lebanon School Corporation to support students who require individualized service plans beyond a 504 plan.
Vibrant Student Life
Junior high school is a time to explore new interests and build lifelong friendships. Our students enjoy a rich student life that includes clubs, athletics, and social events. From spirit weeks to service projects, there’s always something exciting happening.
Spiritual Growth
We prioritize spiritual development through events, programs, and projects that encourage students to deepen their relationship with Jesus. Chapel services, Bible studies, and service opportunities help students grow in faith and character.
Athletics and Facilities
With a range of athletic programs and state-of-the-art facilities, students have opportunities to develop physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We offer sports like basketball, soccer, volleyball, and more, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and personal growth.
Before and After School Care
We offer extended care options to accommodate your family’s schedule, providing a safe and engaging environment beyond regular school hours.
Curriculum Overview
We believe our students can start here and go anywhere by building pathways to success for every student.
Starting with the class of 2029, students will have new graduation requirements that necessitate students to select a more personalized pathway toward high school graduation. The goal of this new diploma is to give students a head start for their life after high school as they choose college enrollment, armed forces enlistment, or employment.
We have partnered with Indiana University Bloomington in order to offer the Indiana College Core. For students who are looking for enrollment in college or university, the Indiana College Core is a great way to be exposed to college coursework during high school. Students who obtain all 30 credits of the ICC can have more opportunities during their undergraduate studies such as study abroad, internship during the semester, and more.
We’ve also partnered with the Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC) Construction Prep Academy for students who are gravitating toward Career and Technical Education (CTE). Upperclassmen (juniors and seniors) are able to take classes with ABC that count toward graduation, but also give them construction certificates in skills like carpentry, HVAC, and welding. If seniors choose a second year of courses at ABC, then they can work in apprenticeship for a trade of their choosing.
Regardless of the path a student chooses, Traders Point Christian Schools offers work-based and service-based learning opportunities. Students can choose to do work-based learning through our Knights Cafe or through an internship course. Modeling living the Gospel for our students, the high school has different methods for students to serve local, state, and global communities.
